Desintegraator was founded in 1974 as a Special Design - Technological Bureau by a prominent scientist and engineer, Dr. Johhanes Hint.

The main task of Desintegratoor was design and production of grinding equipment, mainly disintegrators, used for fine grinding and activation of different materials and the development of the corresponding technologies.

Since 1993, Desintegraator was reorganised into a limited company AS Desintegraator, and since 1999 the development and production of the grinding equipment and the engineering technologies is carried out by Desintegraator Tootmise OÜ, as a subsidiary of AS Desintegraator.

The main activity of AS Desintegraator is financial investment and business rental.
